View from Satellite

To view the Earth as currently seen from a satellite in Earth orbit, choose the satellite from the list below and press the "View Earth from Satellite" button. The satellite database is updated regularly but may not reflect the current position of satellites, such as the U.S. Space Shuttle, which maneuver frequently after reaching orbit.

Expert users only: To view the Earth from a satellite not included in the above database list, paste its orbital elements, in NASA/NORAD "two line element" format, into the the box below with the satellite name as the first line and the elements in the next two lines, then select "From elements below" (the last item in the list box) before pressing the "View Earth from Satellite" button.
